NANCY & MAX’S THREE-DAY DESTINATION WEDDING

AT CHÂTEAU DE VALLERY, FRANCE

INSIDE A SUMMER WEDDING WEEKEND IN A HISTORIC FRENCH CHÂTEAU

Three days, a French château, a pool party, pizza under the stars and a wedding celebration that ended with fireworks. Nancy & Max's destination wedding at Château de Vallery was a perfect reminder that a wedding weekend can be so much more than just one day.

Set in the heart of the French countryside, Château de Vallery provided the perfect backdrop for three days of celebrations, bringing together family and friends for a weekend that felt as personal as it was unforgettable.

We had the pleasure of documenting the entire celebration through both photography and cinematography, capturing everything from the quieter moments to the full-on dance floor celebrations.

Day One — A Welcome to the Château

The celebrations began with a welcome drink in the château's beautiful wine cellar, setting the tone for the weekend ahead. It was followed by a colourful rehearsal in front of the castle, bringing everyone together in a relaxed and playful atmosphere.

A first glimpse of what was to come: good energy, plenty of laughter and a couple who wanted their guests to have just as much fun as they did.

Day Two — Poolside, Pizza & Movie Night

Day two took a more laid-back turn with a pool party, giving everyone a chance to unwind and enjoy the French summer sunshine.

As evening arrived, the celebrations continued with a pizza and movie night. A little unexpected, wonderfully relaxed and a lovely contrast to the more formal wedding celebrations ahead.

These are the moments we particularly love about multi-day destination weddings. They give couples the freedom to create an entire experience for their guests, rather than simply planning a wedding day.

Day Three — The Wedding

And then came the big day.

From the morning preparations to the ceremony, every part of Nancy & Max's wedding felt full of emotion and anticipation. The château provided a beautiful setting for their ceremony, followed by a cocktail reception where guests could mingle, celebrate and soak up the atmosphere.

As the evening unfolded, the dance floor filled up, fireworks lit up the sky and the celebrations carried on into an unforgettable after-party by the pool.

A pretty spectacular way to end three days together.

One Weekend, Two Perspectives: Photography & Film

For Nancy & Max, we documented all three days through both wedding photography and cinematography.

Working as a duo allows us to approach the entire celebration as one story. Our photography focuses on natural, editorial imagery, while our films bring back the movement, voices, music and atmosphere that made the weekend what it was.

From the intimate moments in the castle cellar to the energy of the fireworks and poolside after-party, we wanted their photographs and film to feel just like being there all over again.

Because when you plan a three-day destination wedding in France, the story deserves to be told in its entirety.

Nancy & Max, thank you for having us along for such a wonderful weekend.
